JD for Position: Configuration Manager Roles & Responsibilities, Education, Experience & Skills: Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/Electronics & Telecommunication engineering/MCA Experience in SW Configuration Management; of which at least about 2 years in Embedded software Experience in working with CM tools like Git, Gerrit, CC, Collabnet, SubVersion. Experience in config managing Android projects Primary task would include making daily SW builds, planned internal baselines & Releases to Customers. Create and maintain Software Release checklist Ability to create build scripts. Exposure to Perl, Shell or other scripting languages. Capable of Patch management ie. applying & keeping track of patches that are applied in releases. Ability to carry out very limited integration & testing on created baselines & releases. To run and manage software quality metrics and tools and report them to Project Leader periodically Must be capable of interacting with the development team ie. Explaining Build & Run failures, integration issues that arise & urging urgent fixes from them. Must be very structured in carrying out day-to-day tasks. Must be capable of working independently. Must have good communication skills, since the job involves communication with external sites.
