ShoreTel is searching for an Operations Manager to join the ShoreTel Cloud Team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining our highly available voice services and peripheral applications. You will play an integral part working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where quality, efficiency, and attention to detail are a top priority. Highly motivated people with excellent communication skills, as well as analytical thinking and the desire to continuously learn new things would be a good fit for this role.

Responsibilities:
Managing new cloud instance creation, service deployment & upgrades and maintenance
Managing team to deploy and maintain custom applications on Windows and Linux platforms
Responsible for implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment and improve the efficiency
Manage and execute automation for deployment, upgrade, validation of UC solutions with DevOps tools
Oversee the field operation and Monitoring
Quickly resolve or properly escalate service-impacting issues across the whole platform (hardware, software, network) efficiently while maintaining communication with impacted parties
Improve the efficiency by automating the processes of deployment and upgrades
Motivate the team; keeping them focused on supporting the time critical issues, resolve them on time to reduce impact to the customer
Working closely with product management and development to ensure that the DevOps model is successful
Managing the issue reporting, creating tickets and coordinating the with functional team to resolve the issues quickly
Builds and leads a direct reporting team, contractors, and several aligned teams, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skillset alignment to support the business and technology objectives
Formulates and executes process and organizational improvement direction and programs which enhances overall effectiveness; proactively seeks ways to improve human resource and other management processes. Understands business process, issues/problems and applies appropriate IT standards and solutions
Defines individual performance objectives and development plans and ensures alignment with project and department objectives
Review, maintain and improve procedures and their documentation

Requirements:
Significant experience in managing Engineering teams, ability to run mid-size to large teams of internal and external resources located on-& off-shore; 5 years of software management experience in telecom domain
Working experience in a technical support related environment with hosted ticketing system such as Salesforce
Experience in defining and design of DevOps model and implementation of continuous integration (CI) & continuous deployment (CD) using DevOps tools
Experience with Private Cloud virtualization (OpenStack, VMware) and /or Public Cloud virtualization (AWS, RackSpace, etc.) and cloud deployment
Excellent understanding of networking concepts ( OSI model and protocols TCP / UDP) ( Familiar with managing static routes on Windows and Linux platforms for servers with multiple interfaces)
Must have experience working with common RDBMS systems such as MS SQL Server and MySQL
Prior experience with voice platforms and technology including SIP and RTP
Prior experience in of the scripting / implementation languages (python / C / C++) in VoIP solutions
Ability to multi-task to support multiple functions and attain operational efficiency with efficient planning, evaluations and continuous improvements
Contributions to organizations initiatives and strategic tasks
Excellent written and oral communication skills
VoIP experience a strong plus
Certification management (PMP) is desirable
Must have experience in building and managing centralized resources
Experience in researching business inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies always focusing on creating increased business value
Advanced knowledge of management concepts, practices and techniques
Highly developed analytical, negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
Exceptional skill and proven track record of highly developed oral and written communication skills; including very strong presentation and collaboration skills

Education:
B.S. in Computer Science, CE, EE or related field required. Master’s degrees preferred
