About Practice Area:
Prime Brokerage, Funding and Finance (PBFF) Technology Group a single front-to-back organization focused on providing seamless systems and solutions. It enables the flow of information required to manage our financial resources, including balance sheet, capital, funding and liquidity.
The candidate will be working in a team providing ETL design and development support for a large data warehouse and will be responsible for a work stream of a large project or will lead implementation of a contained project. Working closely with the local/global project manager and other team members, the candidate will be involved in all stages of the development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-release and ongoing L3 support.
Design, implement, test and maintain ETL components for multiple applications
Performance and scalability tuning to support large deployments
Define new features in conjunction with product management, and provide specifications
Ensure quality and completeness of the final product through unit testing, documentation and maintenance as appropriate
Technical Skills Required
Database: Experience in Database development. Teradata experience between 3 to 6 years.
Hands on experience with DB2/SQL/PL-SQL, DB design, stored procedures index.
ETL Tools: 3+ years' experience in industry standard ETL tools
Data warehousing concepts : Must have good understanding of DW and ETL concepts
Unix experience: Basic understanding of Unix and shell commands is required, Shell scripting and PERL experience is a plus.
Job scheduler tools: Auto Sys experience but any scheduling tool experience could suffice
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders
In-depth understanding and prior work experience in finance industry is a plus.
Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
